Bountiful Blessings Card

10

So I ended up needing a few more Thanksgiving cards this year. While I was playing around with a few ideas I came across this lovely designer paper. I cut it to fit the card, stamped the verse and added a little stickles to add a bit of sparkle to it.

I distressed the edges and that was it. Another quick and easy card! I hope you enjoyed these Thanksgiving cards and hopefully they gave you some ideas on how to make your own quick and easy cards.

Wishing You Card

7

This is the final card I made using one piece of designer paper. Now for this one I just stamped two verses on it and added a little bit of stickles to the flourish.

Quick and easy, I really like the leaves in one corner and the flourish in the other corner. I actually have one more Thanksgiving card I made and I will have it posted in the next few days…

Thanksgiving Blessings

2

This is another card with that same piece of designer paper as the first two card from earlier this week. Now for this card I did use a stamp, rhinestones and some stickles.

I think this one is lovely. I hope the one I am sending it to will like it as well!

Happy Thanksgiving Pumpkin

6

So the other day I showed you  card I made just using a part of designer paper. This card is made using the same dp. This one I did use not only the rhinestones but a stamp as well.

Quick and easy, but I really like how this one turned out. I have another card to show you later this week. Hope you can stop by and check it out!

About Our Blessings

3

This year I decided to make Thanksgiving cards for my friends and family. Unfortunately I started running out of time so I decided to make some quick and easy cards.

This card was made just using designer paper and rhinestones. I found this dp in my stacks and just cut it into four rectangles, each one sized for a card. This one had a lovely verse so I did have to add ant stamping to it.

Hope you will stop by later this week to see the rest of the Thanksgiving cards I made using this dp.

An Easy Happy Halloween

2

I hope you are looking forward to Halloween. I have been crazy busy so all I had time for was a very easy, simple card.

This card was made using designer paper, stickles and cardstock. That is it. No stamps or inks at all. I was cleaning out and organizing my DP when I came across this paper. As you can see it was just the right size for a card!

Now I will have more cards like this next month for Thanksgiving. Hope you will pop by and see them!

A Texas Sized Birthday!

IMG_1564_edited-1

So I needed a birthday card for a fellow Texan. What do I do when I need a Texas card? I pull out my rubber stamps by Deadbeat Designs and my TH Distress Inks and here we go!

IMG_1565_edited-1

Inside I used an unmounted stamp I bought years ago. I have no idea who the manufacturer is but I think it goes well with my Texas theme card.

A Late Happy Mother’s Day Cards

I kept meaning to post these cards that I made last week and I ended up forgetting! So when I got up this morning I made it my goal to post these cards. Hope you like them!

Pink Rose for Mother’s Day

IMG_1721

I have totally forgotten who the manufacturer of the two stamps are (it has been awhile since I made this card). I will look it up and come back withy those details. I do know the punch at the bottom is a Martha Stewart one.

Motherhood is a Journey

IMG_1730

I do know these stamps are by Flourishes!I colored it with my Copics. This was before I found my missing brown Copics so I ended up using dark shades of yellow for the bulb.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you and yours had a wonderful Mother’s Day!

Lighthouse on the Waves

IMG_1847

Hey Friends!

So apparently I will be posting cards really slowly here. While I am making cards I seem to forget to post them before I start another one. Then by the time I take pictures of them and come into the house I can’t remember most of the details of each card.

When I was making this card I knew I wanted to use an old map with this image but I couldn’t find the right DP for the bottom of the card. I really need to organize my paper better because after looking through several stacks I came across this thick, crimped paper I had bought years ago at a garage sale. I think it goes well with the other elements.

Details:

Stamps: ODBD (lighthouse) Hero Arts (map)

Ink: Brown Memento, Copics, Distress Ink

Punch: Martha Stewart

Accessories: gold brad, twine

Challenges:

1. Sisterhood of Crafters – Free For All

2. For your Inspiration – Picture

Garage Sale Find!

I know, I know! I need to start posting some cards here! I will very, very soon but today I have to show you what I got at a garage sale:

IMG_1700

A Big Shot! Yes I do have one (one of the original turquoise ones) and it still works quite well but I have been afraid that one day I will kill it. So when I saw this I was so excited. It has barely been used and I ended up getting a bit cheaper than her asking price!

So now I have a back up Big Shot for that day when Big Blue (yes he has a name) dies.

Welcome to My Studio

Today I thought I would give you a small tour of the studio that my super sweet Hubby gave me.

IMG_1702

So come on in!

IMG_1704

Yes my studio is in a shed. The outside is not finished. I will be adding a small garden and a better porch later on.

IMG_1674

When you first walk in this is what you see when you turn to the right. This is the main desk where I sit at. Underneath is drawers of pens and markers as well as my heater.

IMG_1675

The CD tower has my large background stamps. The four chest of map drawers is filled with my wood mounted stamp. The two large ‘closets’ are from Ikea and are filled with cross stitch supplies, paints, my sewing machine and so much more.

IMG_1676_edited-1

Here is another view of the front desk. The book shelves beside the door are filled with craft books and magazines. They also help the door not slam into the wall when my kids come in for a visit!

IMG_1677

This is my second desk area. I am not done getting this space set up but for now I have my paper trimmer, inks and buttons stored here.

IMG_1678_edited-1

Another view down that wall. Most of the scrapbook paper comes from garage sales.

IMG_1680_edited-1

Here is desk number three. My Big Shot, Spellbinder dies and Papertrey Ink stamps are things that mostly take up this area.

IMG_1681

On this side we have these drawers that are filled with odds and ends. The cart that you see peeking around the corner has my adhesive, favorite inks and a few other things that I use all the time. They are in the cart to that I can just push it around to whatever desk I need it at.

IMG_1679

Then on this side we have these shelves filled with paper and unmounted stamps. The purple containers have ribbon and more stamps. That is my next project, getting my paper organized by color.

IMG_1683

These drawers have punches in them. The CD towers has some random unmounted stamps. The stamp shelve I bought off of Craigslist has my collection of Eiffel Tower stamps and some miniatures.

IMG_1687

Then we make the turn to desk number four. This is really a desk that has become a catch all. There is everything from paint, adhesive, embossing powder and so much more in these mini cubbies.

IMG_1691

This is what I call the island desk. I love this shelf/desk combo from Ikea. The shelves has scrap paper and the black folders are my large Spellbinder dies. Oh and my Copic are in here as well. Not my brown Copics because they seem to be missing.

IMG_1684

This is where I have some of my Stampin Up Sets.

IMG_1685_edited-1

Another view of the island desk. And my fan is stored underneath it.

IMG_1686

Last view of that desk, facing the door.

So that is the short tour of where I go to make my cards and other goodies. This is such a blessing not only to me but to my whole family. They are so excited that all of this isn’t crammed in our dining room like it was at our old house.

As you can tell most of the furniture came from Ikea, Michaels and garage sales. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

Coming Soon

After almost a year and a half of having all my supplies packed up, I have to say I am looking forward to being creative again! My super sweet and very dear Hubby bought me a shed. He then had it wired, dry walled and the kids and I painted it (purple of course). I am about 99% done unpacking (I can't seem to find my brown Copics) and am ready to get started. It will be slow at first due everything else in my life but it will be so worth it! Thanks so much for coming by!
